At the moment the football world championship takes place in Russia.
Even if I’m less interested in football, I can actively cheer on during this time. I am happy when I can watch a fair and exciting match, but I must confess that I’m quite partisan and I wish, of course, that Germany will be world champion. š
It’s great how people hold together in this time and sit together in front of the TV. Why not invite your best friends and host a football party?
For that, I’ll tell you a few finger food tips.
Guacamole-Matchfield
Ingredients:
- 3 avocados
- 1 lemon
- 2 gloves of garlic
- salt and pepper
- saltlettes
- tacos or other chips
- (if you like, 3 small tomatoes)
Preparation:
- At first half the avocados and fill the mass into a big bowl
- Crush the avocado with a fork
- Squeeze the lemon on the avocado mass
- Peel the gloves of garlic and press them to the avocado mass
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper
- If you like, wash the tomatos and cut the vegetable into small pieces. Mix the tomato pieces under the avocado mass
- Dispense the avocado mass into a box-shape and smoothe the mass
- Decorate the mass with salt bars and spread the tacos around the box
Tricolor german vegetabele skewers
Ingredients:
- 1 piece of cheese
- mini tomatos
- black olives
- toothpicks
Preparation:
- Wash the mini tomatos and cut the cheese in equal pieces
- First put a black olive on the toothpick, than the tomato and finally a piece of cheese.
- Then you have the colors of the german flag.
Of course you can do that with any country flag. Simply use appropriate vegetables or fruit in the appropriate colors.
Here are some examples:
Island = blueberries, mozzarella, strawberries
Brasil = green grapes with banana and blueberries
Portugal = green, yellow and red peppers
