I ever heard of banana bread, but I never thought that it tasts. One times my boyfriend said he has a good idea. He would like to prepare a banana bread. I was very interested in this idea because I never thougt of it from my boyfriend.
Well, we started to prepare a banana bread. Our first effort was ok. The second effort was definately better. We tried to prepare a bread without flour, only with bananas, oats, dates and a dab of peanut butter for the special tast.
I would like to share our recipe with you.

Preparing time: 15 minutes plus 30 minutes baking time
Ingredients:
- 3 bananas
- 250 g of oats
- 30 g dates
- 2 tbls of chocolate powder
- 1/2 tbls of peanut butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 baking powder
- 1 pear
- If you like: a handful of walnuts

Preparation:
- Mix oats, banana and dates too a mass.
- If it’s creamy add a pinch of salt, cacao powder, baking powder and the peanut butter. Stir again so that the mass becomes a nice dough.
- Wasch the pear and cut it into small pieces or in narrow slices.
- Stir the pieces under the dough and fill the mass in a baking form. If you have slices fill a part of the mass in a baking form, layer the pear slices between the dough.
- Put it into the oven for 25 – 30 minutes for 200 centigrade.
- If you like walnuts you can put after the half backing time the nuts on the dough. It’s important that the nuts not from the beginning on the dough otherwise they would burn.
You can enjoy the bread warm with ice cream or a compote or cold as a cake.

We have found, that banana bread is gentle on the stomach, sweet, but not to much and very delicious. Banana bread is very fast to bake and you can it eat warm and cold. Warm it’s very good with a scoop of vanilla icecream.
As a rule, the bread stays fresh for 2 – 3 days.
