Baked oatmeal

Every day I’m eating porrigde. I love this, because with chocolate powder, cinnamon, vanilla or season fruits, you have every time a different taste.

But for the first time I tryed a baked oatmeal and I’m very suprised about the delicius taste. OK, it isn’t not so fast to prepare but very recommendable. You should try it!

Preparing time: 15 minutes + 40 minutes baking time

Ingredients:

  • 170 g oatmeal
  • 70 g chopped walnuts
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 350 ml almond milk
  • 100 ml honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • vanilla powder
  • 125 g pears
  • 125 g apples

Preparation:

  1. Wash and cut the pears and apples in small pieces.
  2. Preheat the oven to 190 °C top-bottom heat.
  3. Mix the dry and the wet ingredients togheter, but separated eacht other.
  4. Distribute 1/4 of the fruits in the casserole dish an spread the dried ingredients over the fruits. Then pour the damp mixture of ingredients over it. Garnish the baked oatmeal with the rest of the fruits.
  5. Bake the oatmeal for 40 minutes in the oven and enjoy it still warm.
Chopped walnuts

Depending on the season you can vary in the fruit and nut selection. In example plums with hazelnuts or peaches with almonds. Try it out!
